BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — UPDATE 7-17-14: Baton Rouge Police have arrested Tajh Harris Thursday morning around 5:00 a.m. for the murder of 24-year-old Javontia Davis.
Harris turned himself in after a Crime Stoppers tip confirmed his identity.
Harris was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
ORIGINAL 7-13-14: Baton Rouge Police are searching for Tajh Harris, 21, of Jackson Avenue in connection with the murder of Javontia Davis, 24, of Wenonah Street.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, patrol officers responded to gunshots in the 2600 block of Wenonah Street, where they discovered a man lying unresponsive on the ground. EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the suspect, Harris, got into an argument with a group of people, which led to the shooting.
According to police, Harris has been known to frequent the Tigerland area and maybe seen in an older model tan or brown Toyota Camry.
