SHREVEPORT, LA (KTAL) — More than two years since a Shreveport man was accused of executing three brothers over an X-Box, a court date was set for his First Degree Murder trial was set by Caddo District Judge Scott Crichton, who will preside.
Marcus Donte' Reed, who was indicted Nov. 10, 2010, will stand trial Oct. 22 for three counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Jeremiah Adams, 20, Jarquis Adams, 18, and Jean Adams, 13, on Aug. 16, 2010.
Reed allegedly shot the Adams' brothers as they pulled their Chevy Malibu into the driveway of Reed's girlfriend at Keatchie Marshal Road around 10 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2010.
Sheriff's deputies believed Reed opened fire on the Adams' car, angry because he thought they had burglarized his girlfriend's home and stolen a video game system. The home was broken into on the previous Monday (August 14), but was not reported to authorities.
An assault-style weapon was recovered outside the residence
