SPRINGFIELD, LA (NBC33) — The search for a suspected armed robber placed two schools on lockdown this morning has ended. Deputies believe they have identified the individual responsible and now have him in custody.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies arrested Jarred Tyquan Anderson Dotey, 19. The Sheriff’s Office placed Springfield High and Elementary on lockdown this morning while they searched for him. Officials say it was a safety precaution because the man they believe to be Dotey was last seen in a wooded area behind the school.
Dotey was arrested for Simple Burglary, Simple Battery and Resisting an Officer. Other charges could be forthcoming.
