Student arrested for placing prank calls to Baton Rouge school

Baton Rouge, La — The School Drug Task Force arrested a 13-year-old student today for making prank phone calls to Westdale Middle twice this week.
A 13-year-old 8th grade student was arrested this afternoon and will be booked into Juvenile Detention for Terrorizing.
According to reports, the student, who was at home for suspension, allegedly called the school on Monday January 28 at 3:30 p.m. stating that he was the Assistant Principal and there was a student at the school with a knife. School Drug Task Force responded to the school, which had already let out for the day, and searched the premises. There were no students or weapons located.
The student again allegedly contacted the school yesterday at 9:55 a.m. and stated that he was a student in the bathroom with a gun. The School Drug Task Force responded and searched the school and again located no students with weapons.
After the student was identified, a deputy took him into custody today, and he will be booked on the above listed charge.
