Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A student at McKinley High School is behind bars after deputies say he brought a gun to school.

Deputies say they found a 22-caliber hand-gun in his locker. However, it wasn't loaded and there were no bullets.

The student claimed he was paid 30 dollars to hold the gun.

Sheriff's deputies are still investigating.
