A high school student learned a lesson in discipline after he was arrested for a violent outburst on campus. However, this was not your average temper-tantrum.

The Shreveport Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 30 at roughly 11:30 a.m. We’re told officers were called to Caddo Parish Magnet High School due to a disturbance involving a student and an officer.

Officials tell us it all began when the student, Justin Washer, 18, was sent to the front office because he had been accused of dislodging a toilet from the floor in one of the school’s restrooms.

While school administrators worked to sort out the details surrounding the toilet incident, Washer allegedly became involved in a scuffle with a School Liaison Officer.

We’re told Washer bit the officer on the arm twice, which required him to seek medical attention at a local hospital. Additionally, a separate school board security officer was allegedly struck during the altercation.

Officials did not give explanation regarding how the altercation began.

Washer was arrested and charged with Battery on a Police Officer, Public Intimidation of a Police Officer, Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence, Simple Criminal Property Damage, and Simple Battery of a School Teacher (this charge relates to the security officer who was struck).
