The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations made two narcotics arrests at a residence in Sulphur on April 30.

The arrests were the result of undercover narcotics investigations taking place in the area.

Troopers arrested Shyla Freeman, 35, of Sulphur, for False Representation of a Schedule II CDS (methamphetamine). Freeman previously sold a substance to undercover agents claiming that it was methamphetamine. The substance was subsequently tested and determined not to be methamphetamine.

While at the residence, agents encountered Daniel Drounette, 30, also of Sulphur. Troopers previously purchased methamphetamine from Drounette and had an active arrest warrant for her. At the time of her arrest, Drounette was in possession of hydrocodone pills and Flexeril tablets.

Drounette was charged with Distribution of a Schedule II CDS (methamphetamine), and Possession of Schedule III CDS and Possession of Schedule IV CDS.

Both subjects were booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
