PARIRIEVILLE, LA — The Ascension Parish Department of Public Works is seeking information from the public concerning the theft of a solar-powered, lighted stop sign that was stolen sometime around Wednesday, Aug. 1.

The 36-inch stop sign, worth $1,085, was removed from two metal posts at the intersection of Joe Sevario Road and La. 42.

Department of Public Works Director Ronnie Fairchild said anyone with information concerning the theft may contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-8300, or call his office at the Department of Public Works at (225) 621-1129.
