Three people are in jail on several drug charges after a police investigation on Thursday, July 24.

Detectives stopped a vehicle on Highway 90 in Morgan City when they discovered the driver, Brady Broussard, was driving with a suspended license.

Inside the car, police also found a bag of methamphetamine, Klonopin, Taradal, and Trilafon pills as well as several items of drug paraphernalia including spoons, syringes, and a tourniquet.

Investigators later learned that illegal drug activity was taking place at a residence on Venus Street in Bayou Vista. Officers contacted two residents identified as Stacy Grubb and Scott Dehart.

Detectives searched the residence and located several bags of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $14,000, a bag of LSD, a handgun, and several items of drug paraphernalia: spoons, plastic bags, syringes, and digital scales.

Police also found $1,121 in cash, which they believe was proceeds from illegal drug activity.

A 4-year-old boy was also at the residence. The child was released into the care of a family member.

Broussard, Grubb, and Dehart were booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Brady Broussard, 38, of Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 4:03 pm for the following offenses:
Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
Possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin)
Possession of Legend Drug (Toradal)
Possession of Legend Drug (Trilafon)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Driving under suspension
Improper lane usage

Stacey Grubb, 33, of Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 6:43 pm for the following offenses:
Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor

Scott Dehart, 33, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 6:43 pm for the following offenses:
Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
Possession of Schedule I (LSD)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor
Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
Transactions involving drug proceeds
