Six arrested in Ascension for operating meth lab

Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley reported the arrest of six area residents in connection with the operation, production and distribution of methamphetamine. Arrested are Rusty Neff, 32, Danica Broussard, 36, Cody Poche, 28, Stormy Nickens, 34, Terrence Folks, 40, and Kendrick Jones, 31.

On August 10, deputies received information of a residence in Galvez that was manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine. Investigation by deputies led to a search warrant being issued and a subsequent search of the residence. During the search deputies were able to locate two methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine, marijuana and a .38 caliber handgun. The residence was then secured and the meth labs were disassembled and removed from the residence.

All suspects were charged with Operation of a Clandestine Methamphetamine Lab, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All suspects are currently incarcerated in the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bail.
