A Shreveport teenager who fired a shot at a Shreveport police officer during a foot chase has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for attempted first degree murder.

Caddo Parish District Court Judge Scott Crichton on Wednesday ordered Dominic Banks, 17, serve the sentence at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

Banks, who was 16 years old at the time of the August, 2011 incident, entered a guilty plea to the charge in February of this year.
