Shreveport teen arrested on murder charges

Shreveport, La — A man has been arrested in conjunction with a Shreveport muder.
Just after 2:00 p.m. on March 6, Ravion Alford, 17, accompanied by a family member, arrived at police headquarters where he surrendered to authorities without incident.
Alford was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Principal to Second-Degree Murder following the March 2 shooting death of Chauncey Broadway Jr., 18.
Broadway was shot and killed after a home he was visiting in the 7000 block of Burlingame Boulevard was the target of a shooting. Three other men inside the home were subsequently injured during the shooting.
A 15-year-old male has also been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting.
Alford has been charged with Principal to Second-Degree Murder along with six counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
Following interviews with investigators, Alford was booked into the Shreveport City Jail. His bond has been set at $500,000.
