Shreveport standoff ends peacefully

SHREVEPORT, LA (KMSS) — A wanted man is in law enforcement custody after a two and a half hour standoff in south Shreveport Monday afternoon.
Witness tell KMSS around 2 p.m., several Shreveport police K-9 units arrived in the 9000 block of Moray Drive. A man wanted by federal agents for an attempted murder in July and other violent crimes had holed up in a neighborhood house, according to Shreveport Corporal Marcus Hines.
Several agencies including the U.S. Marshal's Office surrounded the house until he gave himself up shortly before 4:30 p.m.
The suspect was later identified as Jimmy Durden.
A second person in the house, who has not been identified, was also arrested by authorities.
