SHREVEPORT, LA (KMSS) — A Shreveport woman was issued a summons Tuesday afternoon following allegations that she hit a student at a local school.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m., police were called to Westwood Elementary on reports of a school employee who had slapped a child. After arriving, officers talked with In School Suspension Coordinator Kasunda Barfield Daniels, 29, of Shreveport.
During an interview with Daniels, investigators revealed she allegedly slapped an 11-year-old while watching students in the school cafeteria.
The child, who was not injured, was released to a parent. Authorities continue to investigate the matter.
