Shreveport man tased following knife assault, still in hospital

Shreveport, La — Two people were taken to a local hospital after an alleged attempted murder in Shreveport last night.
Police were called to the 3600 block of Michigan boulevard at around 6:40 p.m. to a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, 22-year old Yashika Swanson and 45-year old Danzeria Farris, Sr. were suffering from multiple cuts to their face, head and arms. Swanson and Farris, Sr. were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Patrolmen learned there was some sort of argument in a house on Michigan Blvd, during which 23-year old Danzeria Farris, Jr. grabbed a knife and attacked the two victims. During the fight, another person in the house grabbed a knife and stabbed Farris, Jr. in the back, ending the scuffle.
Authorities arrested Farris, Jr. at the scene of the crime with the the use of a taser, after he did not comply to officer demands. Farris, Jr., of Shreveport, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening stab wound and has been charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder. He remains in the hospital.
