SHREVEPORT, LA — One person is in police custody and another is hospitalized following a Shreveport shooting.

Officials tell KMSS it happened on Doris Street near Jewalla Avenue around 11:13 a.m.

Police say two men were arguing when it escalated into a shooting, leaving one man injured and another on the run.

After a foot chase, a police K-9 caught the alleged gunman on Morningside street, which is about a mile from the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, his condition is unknown at this time.
