Shooting suspect’s mother, sister arrested for obstruction of justice in St. Joseph Street murder
Baton Rouge — Baton Rouge Police have arrested two people for obstruction of justice in connection with the Feb. 20, shooting death of Patrick Williams on St. Joseph Street.
Colodiuse Bowie, 35, and Jameeka Bowie, 18, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 20, around 10:20 a.m.
Colodiuse Bowie is the mother of Devon Bowie, the accused shooter. Jameeka Bowie is Devon Bowie’s sister.
Both the mother and sister were inside the St. Joseph Street residence at the time of the shooting and hid from police to avoid questioning.
Both women initially denied being at the home, but the mother eventually confessed.
The mother and sister were later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of Obstruction of Justice.
