Shooting kills one, injures teen girl in New Orleans

A 19-year-old man was killed and a 17-year-old local female was injured after a shooting yesterday afternoon in the Saint Roch Neighborhood in New Orleans. The names of the victims have not been release pending notification of family members.

The shooting happened at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10 in the rear yard of a house in the 2400 block of Arts Street.

The victims were in the backyard of a house when the suspect(s) approached and began firing

The man was shot several times and died on the scene. The female had a graze wound to the arm and was transported to the hospital and is listed in good condition.
