Shooting endangers 3-year-old, father in Amite

AMITE, LA (NBC33) — Two men are now in jail after firing shots that endangered an adult and their small child.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says Kenyon Mason, 22, and Brenton Mason, 20, shot at each other during an argument at a home in Amite around 8:00 p.m. on July 28, 2014.
Investigators say a father and his 3-year-old child were sitting in a parked car outside the home when a stray .22 caliber bullet from Kenyon Mason’s handgun went through the back window.
Fortunately, the father and child were not injured.
Deputies confiscated the handgun and arrested Kenyon and Brenton Mason on the following charges:
Kenyon Mason, was charged with Resisting an Officer, Cruelty to A Juvenile, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Discharge of a Weapon, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Disturbing the Peace.
Brenton Terrell Mason, was and charged with resisting an Officer, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Disturbing the Peace and 4 Outstanding FTA's.
