Sheriff: Thief disabled fire alarm to access store on two occasions

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a man seen stealing televisions from the Wal-Mart located 10200 Sullivan Rd in Central on two different dates in December.

According to reports, on both occasions the man entered the store, proceeded to the hardware department, and concealed a screwdriver and pliers in his pants. He then went to the Garden Center using the tools to open a fire alarm door. He then went and picked up a large flat screen television and proceeded out the damaged door.

The first instance, December 21, 2012 he left the scene in a waiting tan, gold or silver 1999 to 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by an unknown person. The second instance, December 30, 2012 he used a silver/gray 4-door vehicle (unknown make or model) with a white hood.

The suspect is described as white male, 25 to 30 yrs of age, thin build, light brown hair, gold cap on one of his upper teeth and wears a light-colored baseball cap with “3” on it.
