Sheriff: theieves could have used boats in Bayou Crab
NAPOLEONVILLE, LA (NBC33) — Detectives with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a string of robberies that happened between December 30, 2013 and January 4, 2014.
The thefts occurred in the 1400 block of Highway 400 near homes on Bayou Crab.
Suspects allegedly stole a pair of stainless steel three blade propellers, four propellers compatible with outboard motors, several gas tanks and other miscellaneous items.
The Sheriff’s Office says that the area targeted by thieves is accessible by boat from Lake Verret and say it is possible the suspects used boats to commit the robberies.
