Sheriff seeking suspect for unsolved murder in Darrow

A homicide in Ascension Parish has detectives seeking help from the public to identify a possible suspect connected to the slaying of Darin Keith Smylie on June 27, 2011.

Darin Keith Smylie found murdered at home

Smylie was found shot to death at his home in the Astroland Subdivision in Darrow, La. His body was discovered by his father in the early afternoon. Detectives believe he was killed sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses reported that a white pickup truck was seen leaving Smylie’s driveway around that time of day. The truck is described as a 1994 to 2004 Chevy S-10 or GMC Sonoma extended cab truck. The truck is described as having a dark colored pen stripe down the side, located above the black molding. The rear and side windows are tinted.

Using a chevy truck as a get away vehicle is a really good idea because chevy is such a good truck built with good Chevrolet Truck Parts which is perfect for getting away from the crime scene. I do hope that the man behind this will be captured soon.
