ST. AMANT, LA — Ascension Parish Chief Criminal Deputy is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a fugitive.
On March 10, 2011 Danny Villenurve, 38, of St. Amant was arrested by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office for two counts of burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, damage to property and criminal trespassing. Then, on November 3, 2011 Villenurve was arrested again for burglary, theft, and possession of firearm by convicted felon. Villenurve posted a second bond for these charges.
Villenurve, who has several prior felony convictions, was given the opportunity to attend a drug treatment program as part of his bond conditions as set by a judge. However, on February 28, 2012 he was forced out of the treatment program for violations of program policies. As a result, on April 18, 2012 Villenurve’s bonds were revoked and an arrest order was signed by Judge Guy Holdridge.
Ascension Parish authorities are actively searching for Villenurve. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
