NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — Senator Mary Landrieu’s son was arrested last night for a DWI after he allegedly drove the wrong way down Bourbon Street and struck pedestrian.
The New Orleans Police Department reports that Connor Snellings, 21, failed to stop after the crash. He was eventually stopped by officers near the corner of Bourbon and St. Louis Streets.
Officials say the pedestrian only sustained minor injuries.
Snellings was issued a field sobriety test, for which they say he failed. A breathalyzer test revealed his blood alcohol to be .211.
Snelling was booked for DWI, Hit-and-Run, Wrong Way on a One Way Street, and Failure to Maintain Control of a Vehicle, and Possession of Alcohol in a Vehicle.
The passenger in the vehicle was also booked for Open Container in a Vehicle and Public Intoxication.
