Second suspect arrested for throwing concrete onto motorists traveling I-10

VINTON, LA (NBC33) — A second suspect has been arrested for allegedly throwing large pieces of concrete and debris from an overpass onto I-10. The duo are accused of causing damages in excess of $10,000 and injuring several people.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Andrew C. Gobert, 19, in connection to the case. They previously arrested Dalton J. Jaquillard, 19, of Sulphur.
Officials believe the two were responsible for throwing the concrete and wood debris off Fabacher Overpass near Vinton between Feb. 12 and 15.
When questioned about the incident, Jaquillard confessed. He was charged with 7 counts of Aggravated Assault and 8 counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
Gobert was also arrested and charged. He is facing 12 counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $50,000.
