Second donut shop armed robbery has police looking for possible connection

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Police say there have been two donut shop robberies over the past three days.
The latest robbery occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Monday, March 11. The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that someone walked into Mikes Donut Shop on Jefferson Highway armed with a gun and demanded money. We’re told he fled the scene before police arrived.
On Saturday, March 9, a man walked into the Mary Lee store on Florida Boulevard. Police said he also had a gun and demanded money. Police are investigating both cases, but are unsure at this time if the two are connected.
