Scott police released surveillance images on Monday to get the public’s help in identifying two suspects seen stealing an aluminum boat trailer on April 26, 2014.

According to the police report released Monday, May 12, the suspects cut the lock that secured the gate of the business.

The suspects then drove onto the property in what detectives say looks like a light-colored, midsize Dodge pickup with a fiberglass bed cover matching the color of the truck.

Once inside the gate, the suspects hooked the boat trailer to their truck and drove away with it.

Based on video evidence, officers say the suspect who cut the lock appears to be a white male over 6 feet tall. The second suspect was driving the truck and also appears to be a white male.

The stolen boat is an Aluminum Weldcraft, 16 feet long, and had a 20 HP Four Stroke Mecury outboard attached to it.

Anyone with information about the suspects, their vehicle, or the boat should contact Scott City Police at 337.233-3715.
