Robbery ring arrested in Opelousas

The Opelousas Police has arrested five adults and three juveniles involved in a rash or burglaries which occurred throughout the city of Opelousas and its surrounding areas.

In the past two weeks, the Opelousas Police Department has responded to several calls of break-ins, mainly vehicles.

The suspects got into the vehicles by breaking the victim’s windows. Items that were stolen included GPS systems, cell phones, radios and money.

The robbery ring seemed to be broken down into three groups, which targeted poorly lit areas, unsecured vehicles and vehicles parked at bars.

Dwaun Thomas, 32, has been charged with Simple Burglary

Christopher Mouton, 31, has been charged with Simple Burglary.

Brennon Milson, 19, has been charged with Simple Burglary.

Siholonder Guillory,  17, has been charged with three counts of Simple Burglary, Attempted Burglary and four counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

Markies Davis, 20, has been charged with three counts of Simple Burglary, Attempted Burglary and four counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

Juvenile, age 12, was charged with Simple Burglary and three counts of Attempted Burglary.

Two other juveniles, ages 14 and 16, were charged with three counts of Simple Burglary and Attempted Burglary.

Both Thomas and Mouton are currently out on parole with an extensive criminal history, and could be facing additional burglary charges as investigators look into their involvement of several unsolved burglaries in the Opelousas area.
