PRAIRIEVILLE, LA — A Prairieville man has been arrested twice in a short period of time on cases involving minor aged females.
On June 14, 2012 the Ascension Parish Sheriff Office responded to a report of a forty to fifty year old adult male driving a white truck in a Prairieville neighborhood attempting to hold conversations with minor aged females. At the onset of the investigation deputies learned this subject has been in the neighborhood on several other occasions, acting in a suspicious manner and attempting to hold conversations with other female children.
During the course of the investigation Robert Mark Hayes, 40, was identified as the suspect. On June 15, Hayes, 40, was arrested and charged with two counts of stalking. As a result of his arrest investigators seized his home computer to further the investigation in search of potential child pornography. Meanwhile, Hayes bonded out of jail on a $15,000 bond.
A forensic exam was conducted on Hayes computer and child pornography was found on the computer. Investigators then obtained a warrant of arrest on Hayes and he was arrested a second time, on October 9, 2012 on two counts of child pornography. Hayes bonded from jail on a $50,000 property bond set by Judge Guy Holdridge.
