Police warn about suspected rapist in LSU area
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Baton Rouge Police Department wants people to be on alert for a suspected rapist in the LSU area.
Police say two reports of a man trying to get into the victim's home have been reported near LSU in the past week.
We're told, in a case that happened this morning, the victim was raped at an apartment on Stanford Avenue.
A similar incident was reported on November 22, 2011 off Lee Drive. A college student was locked out of her apartment when a man snuck up behind her, threatening to kill her, but fled the scene when the girl began screaming loudly.
Police are still working to see if the two cases are related.
They are urging everyone, especially women, near LSU to avoid going outside alone at night, and to report all suspicious activity.
