Police: Teen shot man in the head over dispute involving pets

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 15-year-old is behind bars for shooting a man in the head. We’re told the victim confronted the teen because his dog tried to attack his cat.
The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The incident happened on the 600 block of Sharp Road at an apartment complex.
When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. An anonymous tip lead investigators to the home of the teen.
The teen was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder Illegal Discharge of a Weapon and Simple Criminal Damage to property.
The victim is currently in critical condition.
