Police release surveillance footage from violent robbery, employee shot

Police have released the full surveillance video of a robbery where an employee was shot and beaten by an unknown suspect.

The New Orleans Police Department reports that the incident happened on Monday, Nov. 12 at roughly 5:20 a.m. A masked gunman walked into the strip club, fired several rounds into the door of the manager’s office, then kicked in the door.

The manager, a 31-year-old male, was the only person in the business and was counting money at the time. The suspect fired one shot at the employee, which struck him in the right thigh. He then hit the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. The suspect ransacked the office, taking all of the cash.

The suspect then fled the scene on Bourbon Street toward St. Louis. He then went down St. Louis toward the river.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'10" -6'00" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a mask. The subject was clad in a dark baseball cap, a black jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.
