Three people have been arrested after a rape suspect was allegedly battered by both a Walker police officer and a family member of the victim.

On July 24, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance on Walker South Road in Denham Springs. When LPSO Deputies arrived on scene, a Walker Police Officer had a suspect in custody.

Raymond Robison, 19, of Denham Springs, was engaging in sexual acts with a juvenile. While responding, the Walker Officer, identified as James Dipuma, 32, of Denham Springs, struck Robison several times while he was in his custody.

Dipuma also failed to stop a family member of the victim, Charles Madgett, from hitting the suspect while in Dipuma’s custody.

Robison was charged with Molestation of a Juvenile, Resisting an Officer and Aggravated Rape.

Dipuma was charged with Malfeasance in Office and Second-Degree Battery.

Madgett, 45, of Denham Springs, was charged with Simple Battery.

This investigation is ongoing.
