Tangipahoa Parish, La (NBC33) — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a murder which occurred yesterday on Greg Drive.

In the early morning hours of July 22, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that the body of Elias Balnez Azua, 55, of Tickfaw, was found inside a residence on Greg Dr. in Hammond.

It was reported that the victim, later identified as Azua, had been stabbed numerous times resulting in his death. 

It is believed that the victim may have known his offender.
