Police: Ex boyfriend tried to attack woman with electric skillet

A woman was reportedly running down the street barefoot because her ex boyfriend broke into her house, tried to attack her, then ran after her when she tried to get away.

The Eunice Police Department says the incident happened on Friday, July 20 at roughly 10:00 p.m. Officers were called to the roadway on the 1000 block of West Ash Ave. When they arrived they located the female complainant who claims her ex boyfriend had chased her and threatened her with an electric skillet.

Reports say the suspect, Chance Ceasar, allegedly broke into the home of the victim, located on S. 12th Street. The victim told police that Ceasar had gained entrance to the home through a window and then grabbed the electric skillet and attempted to hit her.

The victim got away and ran for roughly three blocks while barefoot.

Officers located Ceasar a short distance away from the victim’s home. He had the electric skillet in his hand.

Ceasar was arrested and booked for Home Invasion, Entry or Remaining on Premises After Being Forbidden, Disturbing the Peace, Aggravated Assault, and Resisting an Officer. His bond was set at $17,500.
