Police arrest 2 of 3 suspects for Armed Robberies on LSU Campus

Through a collaborative effort, Investigators from LSU Police Department and Baton Rouge Police Department were able to identify and arrest two suspects for three armed robberies that occurred on Monday night on and near the LSU Campus.

A third suspect has been identified but is not yet in custody.

Letravis Kittrell Duncan, 20, of Baton Rouge, and Larry Dynell Scott Jr., 17, of Rosedale, were each arrested for 3 counts of Armed Robbery

On Nov. 18 at 10:55 p.m. LSU Police received a report of an armed robbery on Highland Road near Raphael Semmes. At 11:24 pm LSU Police received a second report of an armed robbery in Hart lot, which is located just east of Kirby Smith Hall.

The suspects ran and were seen entering a white car driven by a third person. They suspects then fled the area.

Baton Rouge Police were also notified of an armed robbery with similar suspect and vehicle descriptions that had occurred on State Street just north of the LSU campus and within the same time frame as both incidents on campus.

On Nov. 21, Investigators from Baton Rouge Police and LSU Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle at Duncan’s residence in Baton Rouge. They detained Duncan at that time. After questioning, Duncan was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Further investigation led to the identification of Scott and Jarvis Diquann Dawson, 19, as additional suspects. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for both Scott and Dawson.

With the assistance of the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, BRPD and LSUPD, Investigators located Scott at his residence in Rosedale, and placed him under arrest.

As the investigation continues, BRPD and LSUPD Investigators are still looking for the third suspect, Jarvis Diquann Dawson, who also resides in Rosedale, LA.
