Police arrest 2 burglars before they can get away

Police arrested two suspected burglars before they were able to get away.

Baton Rouge Police arrested 30-year-old Dwayne Cossett and 22-year-old Felton Brown, as they tried to escape the crime scene, on January 23.

Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot, in the 100 block of Marilyn Drive, around 11:40 a.m.

Officers blocked the vehicle and the suspects ran away. They were both caught after police chased after them on foot.

A third suspect escaped from Police.

Both Brown and Cossett were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the charges of with Attempt Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, Criminal Damage to Property and Resisting Arrest.

Cossett tried to take an officer’s Taser while resisting arrest and was also charged with Disarming a Police Officer.

Police are still searching for the third suspect, who is described as a black male, and need your help finding him.
