Plaquemines Parish officials need public's assistance in identifying tire slashing bandit

On Sunday, December 30, 2012, the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated multiple cases of criminal damage to tires in the 100 and 200 blocks of Sarah Victoria Drive in Jesuit Bend.

During the investigation, it was discovered that 12 separate victims reported that their vehicle’s tires had been cut/punctured by an unknown suspect(s). Investigators determined that 29 tires had been destroyed. The total value of the damage is estimated at approximately $5,000.00.

Investigators collected evidence from one of the crime scenes, which has been submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory for DNA analysis and comparison. Investigators are awaiting the results of said testing.

At this time, investigators have exhausted all possible leads pertaining to the investigation and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect’s responsible for the crime.
