MEMPHIS, TN — (NBC33) - Darian Pierce made a brief appearance in Federal Court in Memphis today. The U.S Attorney's Office in Memphis says Pierce will be on the way back to Louisiana to face charges here.

He - along with Ricky Wedgeworth are thought to have escaped from Louisiana State PoliceHeadquarters earlier this month.

Wedgeworth is on also his way back to Baton Rouge to head to court and answer to an escape charge.

No word yet on when either court hearing will be.
