Pearl River man arrested on 55-counts of child pornography
PEARL RIVER, LA — A Pearl River man has been arrested and charged with 55-counts of pornography involving juveniles, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Phillip Dunlap, 35, of 132 Brigadier Loop, was arrested Wednesday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Slidell Police Department, and the Baton Rouge Constable’s Office.
The Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit has investigated thousands of computer crimes such as identity theft, Internet fraud, and cyber-stalking. Yet, most of the unit’s investigations have involved crimes against children--boys and girls ranging from the ages of six- months-old to 17-years-old. Investigators have said computer-facilitated child exploitation impacts children of all races and socio-economic levels.
