New Orleans, La (WDSU) — A former high-ranking employee at the Orleans Parish Prison has been charged with bribery.
John Sens, the brother of municipal court judge Paul Sens, is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit public bribery.
Sens' lawyer, Brian Capitelli, said his client is charged in a bill of information - a sign that he is cooperating and will plead guilty.
Sens resigned from the sheriff's office last week.
Last summer, it surfaced he was involved in a federal investigation into the Orleans Parish Prison.
A representative for Orleans Parish Sheriff Marlin Gusman has not responded to calls for a comment.
