Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Late Saturday Night, Baton Rouge Police say they responded to a shooting on Balis drive.

Baton Rouge Police officers said it happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Balis drive.

BRPD said when they got there, they found Charles Alexander, 22, in his car shot multiple times.

They transported Alexander to a local hospital where he later died.

Baton Rouge Police Detectives then said they were contacted by a man who said he shot someone on Balis drive who was trying to rob him. That man turned himself in.
