One killed during shooting on North Sherwood Forest; suspect wanted

Officials have confirmed that the coroner has been called to the scene of a shooting on North Sherwood Forest.

We’re Brandon Carter, 25, was found shot multiple times at around 11:00 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Sherwood Forest. He was found behind a business and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Baton Rouge Police Department is handling the investigation. Investigators have not yet determined a motive or suspect for this shooting. Police are searching the area for a possible suspect.

This is the 27th homicide investigation for the Baton Rouge Police Department in 2013. Currently, 13 of those are still under investigation.
