SHREVEPORT, LA — One person is in danger of losing his life after he was stabbed during a fight in West Shreveport.
At around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, officers were called to the 4500 block of Tulsa Avenue to a stabbing. When patrolmen arrived, they found Dennis Fester, 27, suffering from a major cut to his torso. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators later learned Fester and a known man, Frederic Reutlinger, 25, of Bossier City, were involved in a dispute when they started fighting. During the incident, Reutlinger allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Fester. He then left the scene.
Reutlinger surrendered a short time later to authorities at the Shreveport Police Complex. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted second degree murder.
