In about the same amount of time it would take to get a pizza delivered, BRPD officers responded to, took witness statements and located the suspects of an armed robbery. The whole thing happened on roads located right outside of LSU’s campus.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 14 at roughly 1:40 a.m. We’re told the suspects, Jasmine Williams, 24, and Justin Pierson, 24, are accused of pulling a gun on two people and robbing them of their personal property.

Witnesses reported seeing a gray 4 door sedan fleeing the scene. A description of the vehicle was sent out and an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description a short distance away on East McKinley and Tennessee Street. The officer conducted a traffic stop and placed the two men from Brusly under arrest at roughly 2:05 a.m.

Both men were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for one count of Armed Robbery.

The LSU Police Department assisted with this investigation.
