NOPD: Man found lying dead in grass from multiple gunshot wounds

New Orleans Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man that occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, in the 9100 block of Olive Street.

The 27-year-old man was located lying in the grass suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in the incident, as well as a motive.
