New Orleans man shot in the head on Mardi Gras day

A 22-year-old man was shot and killed on Mardi Gras in New Orleans and police are currently seeking a suspect.

The New Orleans Police Department reports that the incident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12. We’re told officers arrived on scene in the 1800 block of Laharpe Street in the 7th Ward to find a man suffering from a gun shot wound to the head.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Investigators have not yet identified a motive or suspect for this shooting.
