New Iberia woman charged for allegedly cutting man’s face
New Iberia, LA (NBC33) — A New Iberia woman is being held at the Iberia Parish Jail after deputies arrested her for attempted second degree murder.
Lt. Richard Fleming said Liza M. Phillips, 37, cut a man’s face with a knife during an argument on June 20, 2014.
The man was treated for his injury at a local hospital.
On July 21, 2014 Iberia Parish Sheriff’s deputies obtained a warrant and arrested Phillips at a home on Mixon Street.
