New Iberia woman charged for death of 2 Parish workers

New Iberia (NBC33) — A New Iberia woman, Alicia Marie Mire, 26, has been formerly charged with two counts of Negligent Homicide after she caused an accident that resulted in the death of two Iberia Parish employees on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident claimed the lives of 48-year-old Ross Migues of Lydia and 57-year old Jody Anthony of St. Martinville.
The crash happened on US 90 South Service Road. The Iberia Parish pick-up truck was properly parked on the shoulder with its emergency light on, when Mire crashed into the back of the truck, causing it to hit the two workers.
Mire and her passenger were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Once Mire is released from the hospital, she will be booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on two counts of Negligent Homicide, Negligent Injuring, Reckless Operation and No Driver’s License.
