WALKER, LA (NBC33) — A Walker man was killed last night after a truck turned into his lane and knocked him off his motorcycle.
The Louisiana State Police report that the crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7. We're told Cary A Infinger, 36, was riding his motorcycle on LA Hwy 63. At the same time Eric R. France, 35, also of Walker, was driving his truck in the opposite direction.
The truck attempted to turn left and cutoff Infinger. He tried to avoid being hit but was unable to stop. He hit the passenger side of the truck and was ejected from the bike.
Despite the fact he was wearing a helmet he sustained serious injuries from the crash. He was transported to a hospital in Baton Rouge where he later died.
Troopers do not believe either driver was impaired. The crash remains under investigation, and charges may be pending.
